City's security beefed up

Police personnel checked vehicles entering the market places. As many as

20,000 policemen were out on the streets to prevent any sort of untoward incident in the Capital.

Market places such as Sarojini Nagar, Khan Market, Greater Kailash Part-I and Karol Bagh witnessed heavy deployment.

But the heavy security cover did not come in the way of Diwali shoppers who flocked to most of the markets. With the festival just a few days away, shoppers are on a buying spree.
