Senior DSIIDC officials said decks have been cleared for the MCD and DDA to transfer their industrial estates to DSIIDC.

"The corporation will concentrate on maintaining the existing industrial estates. It is estimated that an initial infrastructure investment of Rs 1,300 crore will be required over the next five years. To begin with, an industrial development fund has been created with Rs 74 crore as seed capital. The physical and financial mapping of industrial areas has been completed," said Chetan Sanghi, chairman and managing director, DSIIDC.

To encourage non-polluting industries, the DSIIDC is setting-up a multi-level manufacturing hub on 150 acres in northwest Delhi. The estate would be developed with an estimated cost of Rs 3,100 crore at Rani Khera. The construction would start in nine months, he said.
