Is Gurgaon a stressful city to live in? It seems so for policemen, especially those deputed in posh localities such as DLF City, Sushant Lok and others.

Psychiatrists who hold regular sessions for the police department found personnel assigned duties here to be more stressed out as compared to their colleagues posted in other parts of the city.
This has prompted the force to hold special stress management sessions for officers. Long working hours, multi-tasking various duties and too much pressure could be the other reasons, psychiatrists suggest.
“Majority of the policemen come from rural towns of Haryana which are not as advanced as Gurgaon. When they get transferred to the east zone of the city, that has a number of posh localities under its jurisdiction, they find themselves in an abnormal situation,” said Dr Brahamdeep Sandhu, psychiatrist of Civil Hospital, who held several sessions in September that got discontinued due to the Games.
Deputy commissioner of police (east) Vikas Arora, however, said the workshop would soon resume.
Of the 3,000 policemen in Gurgaon, nearly 500 are deputed in the east zone.
