Customs dept extend cargo hours

The Delhi Customs Department at the Air Cargo Terminal at IGI Airport has come up with plans to tackle chaos due to traffic restrictions on movement of commercial vehicles during the Games.

For imports, the document processing and examination of cargo shall be done during normal office hours.

However, deliveries of import can be taken during the day from 10 a.m. as well as during night up to 5 a.m, said V.K. Goel, commissioner, Customs, Import and General. The facility shall be available from Wednesday.
