Dana browsed web during exam

The Gurgaon Police have discovered that Dana Sangma — the Amity University student who committed suicide recently — had used the Internet through her mobile phone for over 15 minutes during the examination.

The Gurgaon Police have discovered that Dana Sangma — the Amity University student who committed suicide recently — had used the Internet through her mobile phone for over 15 minutes during the examination.

She was allegedly caught with her mobile phone switched on inside the examination centre on April 24 and was looking for solutions to the paper, police said.

A second year MBA student, Dana was the niece of Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma. A day after her death, Gurgaon police had registered a case of abetment to suicide under Section 306 of IPC against the university management, following complaints by her parents.
