This November has not been warmer. Average temperatures for the month for the last five years are barley a degree apart. It's the power consumption that has defied the trend. On November 29, 2010, city consumed 2,866MW. This year, it shot up to 3,080MW.
"People are still using fans during the day and ACs, too, are in use," said a power department official. But not for long. Met department says temperatures will go down appreciably after December 10.
