Delhi: Airport express to be more frequent, faster

Acknowledging the grievances of its commuters, the DMRC is set to increase the frequency, speed and operating hours of the Airport Express Line from tomorrow.

The DMRC has listened to the grievances of its commuters and is set to increase the frequency, speed and operating hours of the Airport Express Line from Thursday.

Service on the 22.7 km airport metro corridor will now start at 4.45 am (a full 45 minutes earlier) in a move that will benefit thousands of passengers of Shatabdi Express trains.

Trains will arrive at stations every 10 minutes instead of 15 minutes, which will increase daily train trips from 146 to 180.

The speed of the trains will also be increased to 80 kmph from the existing 70 kmph.
