The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has come up with aesthetically designed foot overbridges (FOB) at three places.

First of its kind in Delhi, the FOBs will not only be comfortable, they will also be easy on the eyes. The civic agency has completed construction work at the three sites —Africa Avenue Road, Park Street and Mother Teresa Crescent. The design of the one at Africa Avenue resembles a suspension bridge and has been built at a cost of Rs 4 crore. This type of bridge has two towers connected by cables. The FOB at Mother Teresa Crescent has a cable design and the cost is about Rs 3 crore.
The one at Park Street is equipped with escalators and elevators and has been constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore. These foot over bridges have been designed to encourage pedestrians to use them cross the streets.
