The CGV will host athletes and officials attending the Games, which begin on October 3, but rooms and cleaning up has not been finished yet. Dikshit on Tuesday said she was certain work will be finished soon but refused to give a deadline.

Amid strong criticism by international delegates who dubbed the Village as "filthy and uninhabitable", the Prime Minister’s Office last week had directed Delhi Government to take control of the complex from Delhi Development Authority and clear the mess.
