Doctors return from Singapore

Doctors from Medanta-the Medicity who flew with the gangrape victim to Singapore on Wednesday returned to India around 9.30pm. Jaya Shroff Bhalla reports.

Doctors from Medanta-the Medicity who flew with the gangrape victim to Singapore on Wednesday returned to India around 9.30pm. The air ambulance ferrying three doctors and a nurse had to be diverted to Kolkata due to dense fog in the Capital.

Meanwhile, the fourth doctor, Dr PK Verma, the ICU head at Safdarjung Hospital, will be reaching later in the night by a commercial carrier. "He was supposed to come with us but the delays in permission from government authorities made him change his plans," said Dr Yatin Mehta, head of emergency services at Medanta.

Along with the doctors and nurse, four of victim's relatives also accompanied her to Singapore.
