Domestic help held for rape, circulating MMS in Delhi

A 32-year old domestic help employed at the Greater Kailash residence of a businessman was arrested for allegedly raping a maid, working in the same house, and circulating a video clip of the crime.

A 32-year old domestic help employed at the Greater Kailash residence of a businessman was arrested for allegedly raping a maid, working in the same house, and circulating a video clip of the crime.

The accused, identified as Karthik Kuliya, had raped the 20-year-old woman a year ago and had also filmed her in the act. He has been since then blackmailing her to submit his demands for physical relationship.

He threatened her to make the video public if she informed anyone about the act.

“The incident came to light when the victim divulged her ordeal to her brother and they approached the local police station on Wednesday evening with a complaint,” said a senior police officer.
