After viewing the video purportedly showing Prem making the offensive remarks during the election campaigning, the Commission had issued a notice to Prem on May 6 asking him to reply on the matter.

The Election Commission today said though it was not satisfied with the reply filed by the BJP leader in the matter, yet he is being let off in the case with a warning not to do so in future.

"We have forwarded the Commission's reply to the BJP leader," JK Sharma, Delhi Deputy Chief Electoral Officer told PTI.

Police had already registered an FIR against the BJP leader and some of his supporters at Harsh Vihar police station in connection with the incident.

79-year-old Sharma was defeated by DPCC president JP Aggarwal in the Lok Sabha elections.
