Although Hardeep and Ponty died fighting over the ownership of farmhouse No. 42 in the same area, nothing much has changed for their grieving families and they have remained together.

“Other family members had mediated to settle differences between the brothers in the few months. The others had wanted them to be together and happy,” a source close to family said.

“The families want to forget the incident as soon as possible and carry on without taking the rivalry forward. It was difficult to believe that the brothers who lived as joint family and shared a kitchen killed each other over a triviality,” he added.
