In the first accident, a 27-year-old biker identified as Sunil Kumar who was on his way home in west Delhi’s Tihar Village was run-over by a speeding Santro car.

“The incident occurred when Sunil, Dharamraj and Satpal were going home. A speeding car hit their motorcycle from their right side, causing them to fall onto the road,” said a senior police officer, requesting anonymity.

The police said all three injured were taken to DDU hospital where Sunil was declared dead on arrival.

Another accident was reported 15 minutes later from east Delhi’s Shakarpur area. “The victim was identified as Rajender Singh, an MCD employee who was from Hisar in Haryana,” the officer said. Police said Singh was run over.
