‘Gangrape a warning bell’

Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit termed the December 16 gang rape a 'warning bell' for society and urged everyone to bring a positive change in the society to ensure security and dignity of women.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit termed the December 16 gang rape a 'warning bell' for society and urged everyone to bring a positive change in the society to ensure security and dignity of women.

Dikshit said the incidents of female foeticide are becoming more common in affluent sections of society.

"In one of the neighbouring states, the families are forced to bring their daughters-in-law from far-off states and even from other countries as the sex ratio has touched the lowest," said Dikshit after inaugurating an Integrated Skill Training Centre for girls at Neb Sarai.
