Development minister Gopal Rai and Food and Supplies minister Asim Ahmed Khan held a review meeting with the traders of Azadpur vegetable market to discuss the situation on Monday too.

Slamming the Modi-led Centre, Rai said that they are busy in playing politics and are shifting the blame on the Delhi government for the price rise.

“There are a number of traders who import the kitchen staple from other countries and we have got in touch with them. Our government has decided to approach them and request them to buy onions in large numbers,” said Rai.

He further said that the price of imported onion would vary between Rs 38 to Rs 45.
