People from different walks of life, including doctors, engineers and artists, will take part in the rally to be flagged off on March 22 from Dilli Haat.
The Magadh Motor Sports Club will organise the Bihar Centenary Car Run 2012 as part of a fortnight-long festival to celebrate 100 years of the state.
The rally will cover 2,700km and cross Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh before reaching Patna on March 28.
According to the organisers, the fleet carrying displays on themes, including the state's heritage, tourism, women empowerment, agriculture and festivals, will meander through the roads of Delhi and reach Gurgaon on the first day.
“Other halts include Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Kanpur, and Varanasi, where the team will talk to local people and distribute Bihari sweets,” the organiser said.
The craftsmanship of the state’s weavers can be sampled at Dilli Haat. The festival will continue till March 31.
