The ‘inspiration’ has resulted in a mammoth exhibition of 1, 001 ceramic cups, created by artistes hailing from France, Switzerland, Egypt, Australia, Japan and India. The handleless cup, as it turns out, is a form that exists across diverse countries in its various avatars, and interpretations.
Organised by the National Handicrafts, Handloom Museum and Pro-Helvetia-Swiss Arts Council, the exhibition is on at the Crafts Museum, Bhairon Road, Pragati Maidan, till December 31.
