The courts have weighed in on the side of this advocate of public utilities and asked the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to study her paper and file a report in a month. She has also gone into the economics of the matter, concluding that a poor family has to shell out at least Rs 37 per day to use public toilet and bath facilities while the householder earns Rs 100 a day. Surely, this should raise a stink somewhere in the higher echelons of officialdom.
