Anti-corruption branch (ACB) of the Delhi government arrested an income tax officer for demanding and accepting bribe from a Shahdara resident.
Even though there was no complaint against Joginder Singh, a real estate dealer, from Shahdara, income tax officer Dipender Singh from IT office’s ward number 34, demanded a bribe of Rs6 lakh from him claiming there was a complaint and he would settle it.
