Justice Rekha Sharma granted bail to Malhotra and asked him to provide two sureties of Rs 100,000 each.

"We have moved the bail plea stating that the police had already filed the charge-sheet in both cases and that there is no need to keep my client incustody," Ashok Sodhi, counsel for Ashok Malhotra, told IANS.

CBI arrested Malhotra last year in August from a studio of a private news channel.

The CBI has alleged that Malhotra, in connivance with five Delhi Development Authority officials, fraudulently got plots allotted at the Dhirpur resettlement colony area during 2000-02 and last year in Molarband, which included more than 700 plots. Most of these plots were later sold for at high prices.
