LSR to test aspirants from foreign boards separately

So, the college is organising a written test and interview for such applicants.

“As students who study in foreign boards are exposed to a different teaching methodology, we are conducting written tests and interviews for them on July 3,” said Sanjay Roy Chowdhary, coordinator of foreign admissions, LSR.

“We have received around 20 such applications.”

They mainly comprise Indian students who have either studied abroad, or have studied in an international board like International Bacclaureate or A-levels.

Students who study in foreign boards normally obtain equivalence certificates from the Association of Indian Universities to convert their marks according to the CBSE or ICSE boards. They are then free to apply for admissions under general category.

“The written tests will consist of papers in English and logic for students applying for the humanities, and an additional paper in Maths for those who want to take up a Maths-based course, like Economics, B Com or Statistics Honours,” Chowdhary said.

“Admissions will take place from July 6 to 8.”
