Mallya, who has been one of the ardent Lalit Modi supporters, was one of the firsts to tweet making his displeasure known to one and all.
"I wonder if IPL franchisees are serious stakeholders whose investments and participation are respected or are they slaves who only come and play?" Mallya tweeted.
The UB group chief also sympathised with Shilpa Shetty and wrote: "This is down right ridiculous and raises serious questions on the attitude of the BCCI towards IPL franchisees."
