Anil Kumar, 32, killed his father Dhuli Chand, a retired Army official, with a sharp-edged weapon at their Gandhi Nagar home in east Delhi on Friday night over the victim's alleged relations with his wife.

Dhuli Chand was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

During the investigations, Anil's 10-year-old son revealed that his father had killed his grandfather after they exchanged heated arguments over the issue, police said.

"His (Anil's) medical report suggests that he is suffering from some mental ailment and killed his father in a fit of rage," a police officer said.
