Man dies in LPG cylinder blast

A 40-year-old man was killed after an LPG gas cylinder exploded at his house in north Delhi’s Shastri Nagar on Wednesday night.

A 40-year-old man was killed after an LPG gas cylinder exploded at his house in north Delhi’s Shastri Nagar on Wednesday night.

According to the police, the incident took place around 10 pm in A-block in Shastri Nagar. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot for rescue operation.

A senior police officer said the victim Raj Kumar lived alone at his A-396 house for past couple of months. On Wednesday night, the officer said, Kumar was at his home when a cooking gas cylinder exploded.

“The impact of the blast was so powerful that it damaged the victim’s house and a few adjoining houses,” said the senior officer.
