Man held for sale of fake autoparts

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police apprehended a man for allegedly manufacturing, stocking, packaging and selling counterfeit motorcycle parts, bearing different company trademark from central Delhi, police said on Thursday.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police apprehended a man for allegedly manufacturing, stocking, packaging and selling counterfeit motorcycle parts, bearing different company trademark from central Delhi, police said on Thursday.

According to the police, the accused, Dinesh Sharma, was arrested from Naiwalan, Karol Bagh on Wednesday. "We have also recovered 18,000 chains and five kg packaging material worth R16 lakh," said a senior police officer.

The Intellectual Property Rights section of EOW (Crime) acted on a tiff-off that Sharma, a resident of Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, was manufacturing counterfeit autoparts in the name and style of "ROLON" and 'RN', which are registered with LG Balakrishnan & Bros Limited.
