Man robbed of jewellery, cash worth Rs 10 lakh

A bank manager's house in the Capital was burgled of cash and jewellery worth over Rs 10 lakh, police said on Saturday.

A bank manager's house in the Capital was burgled of cash and jewellery worth over Rs 10 lakh, police said on Saturday.

"Suresh Bajaj, 34, a resident of Vikaspuri, had on Friday night gone for dinner with his family to a hotel in Janakpuri when the incident took place," said a senior police officer.

"Around 11.30pm, when they returned home, they found that the locks had been broken and the lights were switched on. The house was ransacked and Rs 60,000 in cash and jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh were missing," the officer added.

Suresh Bajaj is a senior manager with a private bank in Connaught Place and his wife is employed at a bank in Gurgaon.
