Overcast conditions prevailed in the Capital throughout the day. Thursday is expected to be a rainy day with the temperatures hovering around 20 degrees and 8 degrees.

"There may be mist in the city in the morning but flight schedules will not be affected as the mist will lift in the morning," officials said. Friday will also see rainfall during the day. Saturday, on the other hand, will be a clear and sunny day. The Met Department is not expecting any fog till Sunday.

On Wednesday, a layer of shallow fog engulfed the city in the morning but it had little impact on flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International airport. A few trains were affected.
