“The incident was reported at 9am from the MP’s bungalow located on the Rajesh Pilot Marg near Lodhi Garden when one of Ramesh’s staff, Padmanand, found that some vessels and scrap were missing from the garage located outside his residence,” said a senior police officer.
According to police, Padmanand had claimed that he had locked the garage on Thursday night and everything was in order.
“However, in the morning when he went to the garage for routine work he found things missing. He immediately alerted the other staff, who in turn informed the local police about the matter,” said the officer.
When contacted, the minister confirmed the incident but refused to share details. His assistant personal secretary (APS) downplayed the incident saying, “Only some scrap items were stolen, nothing big, nothing happened.”
