Delhiites got a welcome respite from the cold as the maximum temperature on Monday rose to 25.1 degrees Celsius — one degree above normal.

The minimum temperature, meanwhile, did the opposite and remained one degree below normal at 6.8 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has predicted a colder day for Tuesday with the temperature oscillating between 7 degrees and 22 degrees Celsius.

"The coming week will also be cold as the minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to fall a couple of degrees below normal. Shallow fog and mist will also stay," said the weatherman.

Monday morning was cold with and misty but as the day progressed the mist was replaced by a clear sky.

The maximum temperature rose above normal level for the first time this month while the minimum had touched 6.2 degree Celsius — the season's lowest so far — on Saturday.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature was 22.7 degree Celsius.
