Muthoot executive in cocaine rap
The Delhi Police’s Narcotics Control Bureau arrests a director of Muthoot Group for allegedly consuming cocaine and charas, reports
The Delhi Police’s Narcotics Control Bureau arrested a director of the $3.9 billion international business house Muthoot Group for allegedly consuming cocaine and charas.

Paul M George, 30, director of Muthoot Leasing and Finance, was arrested from his Faridabad residence on Saturday after the police received a statement from Fazal Khan, an employee of the company, saying George used to send him to various places to procure drugs.
George was granted bail by a special court on Monday after the investigating officer charged him only with consuming the banned substances. Mere consumption of drugs and narcotics is a bailable offence under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
"The police failed to make any recovery from my client despite a search and a custodial interrogation," said George’s lawyer Aman Sareen. Officials of the Muthoot Group were unavailable for comment.
The FIR registered with the narcotics cell said Fazal is an employee in Muthoot Finance’s East of Kailash office. George had sent him to Goa to bring some cocaine. Acting on a tip-off, sleuths on July 20 arrested Fazal at Connaught Place with the contraband.
"Fazal was arrested as he was leaving after George’s car could not come," the FIR said. The police claim to have recovered 8 gm of cocaine, 125 gm of charas and four cigarettes containing charas from Fazal.
