Nab them all, says Delhi

The molestation of a young girl in Guwahati has angered Delhi no end. While human rights activists and individuals are protesting at India Gate and Assam Bhawan to demand action against all 20 molesters, others have joined the movement on social media.

The molestation of a young girl on the streets of Guwahati, has left the country outraged. Soon after the video went viral, the internet was flooded with hate messages against the 20 men, who molested the girl on a busy road, where no one came to her rescue.

“Disgusted, head bowed down with shame and shocked beyond words!” Himadree Bora Das wrote on Facebook. Another user, Shadaab Ali, wrote: “This is the degrading state of the ‘so called’ Men in today’s society... shameful, corrupt, humiliating, villainous.”



Photos of the molestors, as well as links of their Facebook profiles were shared online, asking people to identify and help put them behind the bars.



While Bollywood celebs tweeted their angst, Delhi protested at Assam Bhawan on Friday evening. Women rights activists, individuals and youngsters demanded action against the molestors, at this protest organised by the Citizens Collective against Sexual Assault. “We want to raise a voice so that it puts pressure on authorities, and quick action is taken,” said Nandini Rao, a member of the organisation.
