According to senior Delhi government officials, Law and Justice Department, Public Works Department, Shahajanabad Redevelopment Corporation, Department of Tourism, Information and Technology Department, Delhi Finance Commission, and Anti- Corruption Branch are among the offices that have moved to the new building. Meanwhile, Delhi Cabinet gave its nod for setting up of a 750mw capacity gas-based power project at Bamnauli for a cost of about R1,600 crore.

The cabinet also sought allocation of around 3.5 million standard cubic metres per day of gas to the project but left it to the Centre to take a final decision on the issue of gas allocation.

Dikshit said the gas-based power plant will supply uninterrupted power to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Dwarka and nearby localities and make Delhi a power surplus state.
