The east district police arrested a Nigerian with 200 grams of heroine from New Rajdhani Encalve in east Delhi on Wednesday.

The east district police arrested a Nigerian with 200 grams of heroine from New Rajdhani Encalve in east Delhi on Wednesday. Kingslay Duru (35) was trying to smuggle the heroine, concealed in a photo frame, to Canada through a courier. According to the police, the manager of the courier company got suspicious because of the unusually heavy weight of the courier and called the police. Police said the Nigerian was living illegally in a rented room in Patparganj area and did not have a valid passport and visa.

    Crime against women will not be tolerated, says Yogi

    LUCKNOW Chief minister Yogi Adityanath sought a report from the home department regarding the case in Noida's Grand Omaxe Society in Sector 93B, where politician Shrikant Tyagi allegedly abused and assaulted a woman who objected to his planting some trees in the society's common area, citing violation of rules. “Action should also be taken against the guilty policemen and officers. Crime against women will not be tolerated,” said the CM.

    Man arrested by Thane GRP for molesting woman in train, arrested

    The Government Railway Police, Thane, arrested a 28-year-old man, who in an inebriated condition, boarded a Kalyan-bound local train and molested a 32-year-old woman travelling in the general compartment on Sunday evening. The incident occurred between Dadar and Thane. The woman was travelling with her husband, brother and daughter. They boarded at Dadar and were on their way home in Thane.

    A 65-year-old senior citizen who was riding pillion on his daughter's bike was crushed to death by a truck. The incident occurred when the bike skidded while the injured daughter, Aditi Gurunath Kabadi (25) was trying to avoid potholes on Kamvari River Bridge near Nadi Naka in Bhiwandi on Sunday. He lived with his wife, daughter, son and daughter-in-law. Kabadi worked at Vishwabharati clothes mill in Bhiwandi till his retirement. Aditi is a teacher and also gives private tuitions.

    Police find Thai national’s passport, visa hours after he left them in auto

    A Thailand national got back Baldava's passport and visa, which he had left in an autorickshaw at Goregaon East, within four hours. According to police, Deepak Baldava, 45, was in Mumbai on a business trip on Sunday. Around 11 am, Baldava left his relative's house in Goregaon West and took an autorickshaw to Oberoi Mall where his friend was to pick him up and take him to a function.
