No cause for alarm over PM's health: Cong
Congress said "there are no causes for alarm" over the health of PM Manmohan Singh who underwent coronary angiography.
Congress on Thursday said "there are no causes for alarm" over the health of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who underwent coronary angiography on Wednesday.
Hours after Singh was discharged early this morning from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari said "the PM's health is absolutely stable. There is no problem with his health."
He was responding to queries about concerns that the PM may not be able to lead the party's election campaign or take the reins of the country owing to bad health.
"There is nothing wrong with the PM's health. There are no causes for concern or alarm. The PM is absolutely fine," Tewari said.
If at all any line of treatment has to be carried out, that is for the PM's doctor to decide. Except for his doctor, it is not appropriate for anybody else to comment on it, he added.
After his release, the PM's personal physician Dr K S Reddy said "he is hale and hearty".
The 76-year-old Prime Minister had undergone coronary angiography along with a series of other tests.
