The minimum temperature recorded on Sunday morning was 30.6 degrees, six notches above normal.
"There will be no respite from the scorching summer as mercury continues to go northwards. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in the capital," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
Humidity was maximum 40 per cent and minimum 14 per cent.
The official said April this year has been unusually hot. "The blazing heat is due to lack of western disturbances over Delhi," he added.
