To celebrate 100 years of the Capital, the Delhi government has organised a nine-day-long food festival at Baba Kharak Singh Marg. Counting on the Capital’s appetite for food, the tourism department expects the festival to be a big hit.

A 400-metre street treats you with the best dishes of the city -- from the paranthas of Chandni Chowk to gol gappe of Janakpuri and many more. The festival offers all these mouth-watering cuisines with an ambience of their actual location.

The festival is being held within a 1,100-ft-long wall, which showcases the paintings by artists who have come to Delhi from various parts of the world. “This is the celebration of the 100th year of the Capital. We have put together 32 food stalls, which offer the authentic flavours of Delhi. A cultural programmes has also been organised,” said Manish Chatrath, chairman of Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation.

Seven gates have been constructed at the venue, which symbolise the seven gates of Delhi.
