Leader of Opposition LK Advani got two trains from Gandhinagar. The Mumbai-Jaipur “Garib Rath” passing through Gandhinagar will now go up to Delhi, while the Ahmedabad-Haridwar Mail via Delhi will now run via Gandhinagar.

Responding to a memorandum by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi and other Kerala MPs, he announced two long-distance fast trains, one connecting state capital Thiruvananthpuram to Mumbai and another to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh.

Lalu said “Garib Rath” will run between Kochiveli (Cochin) and Banglaru (Bangalore) and another Kochiveli-Delhi-Dehradun express from later this month. A Kochiveli-Delhi-Amritsar train started plying from January 25, he said and promised to speed up the sanction of a new rail coach factory in Palghat in Kerala.

He also announced three more trains for Bihar.
