
Police arrest teen son of industrialist
The 19-year-old son of a Delhi-based industrialist was arrested on Friday from the inter-state bus terminus (ISBT) on charges of critically injuring two people when he rammed his BMW into a motorcycle and fled the scene.
Utsav Bhasin, who was arrested from ISBT at Kashmiri Gate, was allegedly driving the BMW when the accident occurred early on Thursday near Moolchand in south Delhi.
Police said Utsav, who had studied at Delhi Public School, was missing after the incident took place.
Utsav is the son of industrialist Narendra Kumar Bhasin, who owns the BMW car and is currently in China for a business deal.
The victims - Mrigank Srivastav and Anuj Singh - were admitted to the AIIMS trauma centre. While Srivastav who was riding the motorcycle was showing some signs of recovery, Singh was stated to be in a critical condition.
After the accident, Utsav tried to flee from the spot but had to abandon the car as it was damaged.
