Pregnant woman found murdered in SW Delhi

An eight-month pregnant woman was found murdered in mysterious circumstances at Chhawla area of southwest Delhi on early Thursday morning.

The victim, Shama, was found on the bed and her husband Latif was found with his hands and legs tied and mouth taped around 5:30 am.

Latif's brother Suresh, who stays in the same house, found them and called the police.

"At 5 am, Suresh got up and asked his wife to wake up. When they entered Latif's room, they found him lying on the floor with his hands and legs tied and mouth taped. The room was also ransacked," a senior police officer said.

They also found Shama on the bed. The police took Latif and Shama to a nearby hospital where the woman was declared brought dead.

Since they were married six years ago, an SDM has been summoned for conducting a probe into this matter.
