Punjabi outfit chief adopts US gurdwara victims' children

President of World Punjabi Organisation Vikramjit Singh Sahney has adopted the children of two of the victims of the attack on a gurdwara at Wisconsin in the US.

President of World Punjabi Organisation Vikramjit Singh Sahney has adopted the children of two of the victims of the attack on a gurdwara at Wisconsin in the US.

"Sharing deep grief with the families of Ranjit Singh and his younger brother Sita Singh, who lost their lives in the firing at Wisconsin, Sahney announced adoption of their children in India," the Sun Foundation said in a release.

"He announced that all expenses related to the marriage of their daughters will be borne by him and a fixed deposit of Rs 1 lakh each has been given to the daughters of the deceased," it said.

Sahney also announced a bravery award for the President of the gurdwara, Satwant Singh Kaleka, for fighting the killer at the time of the incident.
