The court has fixed January 28 as the date of hearing and it may announce its verdict on the same day.

Normans Martin executive director Raghuraj Puri, who has been evading arrest since the scam came to light in December, is accused of conducting a transaction worth R50 crore through this firm.

Gurgaon police officials on Monday opposed the anticipatory bail petition and sought his arrest. A Gurgaon court has already rejected his petition.
