Rain and thunder bring down soaring temperature

The weather on Monday, St Valentine’s Day, brought a sense of relief to Delhiities with rain and thunderstorms hitting several parts of the city. Till Monday evening, about 0.1 mm rainfall was recorded in the city.

The weather on Monday, St Valentine’s Day, brought a sense of relief to Delhiities with rain and thunderstorms hitting several parts of the city. Till Monday evening, about 0.1 mm rainfall was recorded in the city.

The morning temperature, at 14.7 degrees Celsius, was five degrees above normal and the maximum was recorded as 22.2 degrees, two degrees below normal.

Tuesday will see more rains and thundershowers, said the Met office. It also said that the maximum temperature is likely to remain in mid-20s. On Sunday, the temperature had touched 28.8 degrees, which had signalled a possibility of summer arriving a tad too early.

The weatherman has also forecasted isolated hails and squall in some areas of the NCR.
