Rain eludes Capital again, likely today

Delhi residents witnessed a hot and muggy beginning to the week on Monday, with the temperature higher than average and the humidity also at a high level. Some rains are, however, likely on Tuesday.

Delhi residents witnessed a hot and muggy beginning to the week on Monday, with the temperature higher than average and the humidity also at a high level. Some rains are, however, likely on Tuesday.

“The maximum temperature went two notches above average, settling at 35.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 27.7, also two notches above the average, said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official. The humidity oscillated between 89% and 76%.

The IMD has predicted rains on Tuesday. “The sky will be partly cloudy, with possibility of rain and thunder in some parts of the city,” the official said.
