Normally temperature fluctuates between 17 and 31 degrees Celsius during this time of the year.

Though temperature is expected to rise on Sunday, it will still remain below the normal. Sunday would be a relatively cool affair in the capital with temperature expected to drop to 15 degrees Celsius in the morning and not rise above 30 degrees Celsius during the course of the day.

The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) has also predicted the possibility of some rain and thunderstorm on Sunday, as the national capital is under the influence of a western disturbance.

By the end of next week, you may want to trade that rain coat in for a coat of sunscreen and lots of water. According to IMD officials, temperature is expected to continue to rise. By Friday, the maximum and minimum temperatures would have risen to 35 and 18 degrees Celsius, both above the expected normal temperature.

“This is just seasonal change. This time of the year, as a precursor to monsoon, it usually gets warmer in the city,” an IMD official had explained.
