Ramdev said, “Beimaanon kee qabr khodne ke liye ye yoddha khada kiya hai (I have chosen this warrior to dig graves of dishonest people).”

Of the 25-odd minutes that the media conference went on, Ramdev spent about half the time glorifying Modi, yet he said, “I am not here to praise Modi but presenting to the media what surveys are showing, what the people of India are feeling.”

Tuesday’s conference coincided with the second anniversary of the Ramlila Maidan event where a Ramdev supporter died in police action and the guru fled dressed in a woman’s attire.
