Substance abuse is a major public health problem that puts millions of adolescents at increased risk for alcohol-related traffic accidents, poor academic performance, family and developmental problems.

Juvenile drug abuse is growing nowadays as increasing numbers of teens gain easy access to different street drugs.

Delhi Legal Services Authority, Juvenile Justice Committee and department of women and child development has partnered with Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses to start the centre at Sewa Kutir near Kingsway Camp in north Delhi. The centre will be inaugurated on April 20.
