Northern Railway has honoured four of its employees for vigilance and quick action in averting possible accidents.

The safety awards were presented by VK Gupta, general manager, Northern Railway.
Gupta said that official recognition of their exemplary services would boost the morale of the employees. He exhorted officers and staff to work towards improving safety.
The four employees who were felicitated are Surya Pratap Yadav, Ram Raj, Ashutosh Singh and Somatya Ram Meena.
Surya Pratap Yadav posted at Sultanpur discovered a crack in an axle box cover plate in a coach and averted a possible accident of 14013 Sadbhavana Express in July this year.
Ram Raj working on Rae Bareli-Unchahar-Prayag section averted a possible accident when he noticed that critical parts in a wagon were missing.
