SC asks police to furnish Raj Bala’s medical reports

Terming the government’s attitude “unfair and unfortunate”, the Supreme Court has directed the Delhi police to furnish Raj Bala’s medical reports to her family. Bala had died of injuries sustained allegedly during police action in Ramlila Ground.

Terming the government’s attitude “unfair and unfortunate”, the Supreme Court has directed the Delhi police to furnish Raj Bala’s medical reports to her family. Bala had died of injuries sustained allegedly during police action in Ramlila Ground.

A bench of justices BS Chauhan and Swatanter Kumar passed the direction after counsel her family’s Kumud L Das told the court that the Delhi police were not cooperating with them on furnishing the reports.

The apex court also asked the police to respond to the affidavit filed by her son Anil Malik, claiming his mother had died due to injuries sustained during the police lathicharge.
