UP Chief Minister Mayawati had sent Gupta and DGP Vikram Singh to visit Graziano factory –– where its CEO was killed on September 22 –– and also meet industrialists to assure safety and security and take measures for the redressal of the industrialists grievances.

Association of Greater Noida Industries, Indian Industries Association and representatives of several MNCs were present at the meeting held at India Expo Mart.

DGP Vikram Singh briefed the industrialists about the measures being taken to provide foolproof security, which included enhancement of police force and separate DSP for industry.

LK Gupta, HR Head, Graziano, told HT after the meeting, “Though the DGP has promised several measures, we will see its implementation and then decide to start the production.”

Gupta also expressed dissatisfaction on police investigation of the Monday incident. “Police has not yet collected proper investigation. No injured person has been contacted and their statements were not yet recorded,” said Gupta.

On September 22, Lalit Kishore Choudhary, CEO of the Indian unit of Graziano was lynched by disgruntled labourers who had been locked out of the factory premises, following differences with the company management.
